Topanga Police Report
The buying and selling of marijuana was discussed and the numerous businesses who legally can sell this drug with or without a prescription is about 55 in Topanga area, and the police department is trying to reduce the number because as they get robbed most of them do not report the rubbery and this brings the crime rate up in our area.  The police are asking everyone to report any suspicious activity they observe and even if they do not respond immediately, they have a record of it and can follow up.  The police department does not feel that our area will be affected by prison early release program.  The police department is having an open house on March 27th starting 9 a.m.

Maintenance Project
Dick presented to the board his findings as follows: The 2 trees that were causing issue around the lake were cut down.  The prices for the 3 trees that need to be put around the lake were provided by Dick, which is $80 per 15 galloon tree.  We estimated we needed 3 trees so the final price of $240 was made in motion by Alec and approved by all members.
Dick also mentioned since this is the rain season we will not get a price quote for the re-asphalt project until after the rain season.

New Business
Hank Zaghi’s house needs a waste bin for trash removal from the house and the back yard.  The board discussed the possible locations of the bin and it will be finalized by Dick paying a visit to the owners and discussing our concerns.  Stefani suggested that a junk removal service dispose of Hank’s stuff, she will give Alec the number.

Alec reminded us of the West Hills neighborhood Council’s reelection date and time and who is running for which positions.  He asked everyone in the community to come and voice their thoughts and vote.  He will remind us again of the date and time in the next meeting. It will be held in Shadow Ranch Park from 2-8 pm.

Stefani reminded us of a bad accident that happened to the Attala’s family where 2 young boys were involved and seriously injured and one is in the hospital.  Alec will ask his wife who volunteers at west hills hospital the procedure as how we can help them in this time of need with a card or minor donation from the board. Stefani will also get a “get well” card and will sign on behalf of the board.
Richard Cooper, from the audience, would like to submit a quote for the insurance.  Stefani will put him in contact with Evan.
