MINUTES OF THE OAKLAKE ASSOCIATION
BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
February 09, 2009
Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. All board members were present except John Drago.
Guests: Patti Ginise, Hank Zhaghi, Frank Miller, Jay Seashore
Noel Roberson, and Greg Kayser.
Treasurer’s report:
Checking account: $24,288.67 --
Reserve: $79,619.91
Stefani asked if anyone was present to dispute any fines or charges. There was no response.
Security
Leave guard duties as they are. Lights and recording devices in the office.
There was an incident at midnight on February 8, 2009. A teenage resident came in with a friend and there was a confrontation with the guard. Also involved was another teenage resident. Their names are on file. Dick will look into it.
Security is not patrolling like they should. Alec motions to change the night patrol into a car being stationary for four hours.
Maintenance projects
Air conditioner for guard shack is $431.02. Alec made motion to purchase. All in favor.
Gazebo- Dick and Patty went looking at the Vinyl Fence Depot. It is about $5000.
There were two bids for the painting of the guard shack. $1730 and $1000. Stefani made a motion to go with the $1000 bid. All in favor.
Common area lights.
Dick will talk to a company named LINC who have experience with tennis courts so we can put up more lights.
Asphalt repairs $42840
Remove and replace cracked pavement (6864 square feet) put a seal coat over 234,095 feet restripe the surface.
8374 Denise Lane remove and replace 167 square feet of cracked lifted asphalt $600.
Alec motions to proceed with above repairs. All in favor.
Prune tree from pool walkway to tennis court.
Clubhouse
Repair ceiling-guard rail (black) is chipping. Fix gutter and fix lock on the door.
Corporate Pointe
Alec met with the councilman and the zoning report is due on the 16th. We want commercial residential zoning. The councilman wants M1. Restrictions need to be in there. No retail. Tall building down to 85 feet. Other buildings 45 feet. Parking structure is 40 feet away from Alex Wasserman’s house. There is a public hearing on the 26th of February.
There were complaints about a house on Samra (address on file) There is construction material everywhere. The storage bin in the driveway must be removed by May 1 or there will be a fine on a daily basis. All in favor from the board.
If there are trash cans out on Wednesdays then there will be letters sent.
Voting place changed from Hidden lake to Community street.
Teenagers are congregating at the end of Carla lane and doing suspicious activity. Reported by a resident.
